How does culture affect women’s rights?

Women face many barriers to access, contribute and participate equally in theatre, cinema, arts, music, and heritage, which prevents them from developing their full potential and impedes social and inclusive sustainable development. Apart from it, they also face harsh situations like lack of sanitary protection due to financial constraints, also known as period poverty. They are also considered to be able to accept more pain than men, also known as the gender pain gap.
